a workshop in the north woods

Hey you! I’m so excited that you’ve landed on this page! This probably means you’re interested in hearing what Unbounded is all about. So here’s a little background information for you.

Ever since I started my career in photography, I have wanted to share my experiences and the things I’ve learned over the past few years. I feel as though there is no better time than now.

What Unbounded means to me is having no limits. Specifically in photography, I believe there is endless growth and opportunity. This intimate workshop is meant for photographers who are looking to get to the next level in their career. It is a three day retreat based off creating, learning, exploring, and FUN! It is also a great opportunity to meet other photographers in the same position as you! With the winter wonderland theme, I am so excited to announce that we are staying in a 7,000sf authentic log cabin. Every room has its own northern vibe to really drive home the woodsy feel.

I will be sharing my personal story of how I went from working a 9-5 job to running a successful business doing something I love. I’m excited to educate you on some of the most important topics in the industry. They include content creation, blogging, lightroom, workflow, client relations, shooting, and finances (which BTW this workshop is a tax write-off :)). We will also be having Wedding Photographer, Shannon St. Clair, guest speak about her own journey. Learning all of this information in the beginning of my career truly would have saved me so much time, energy, and yes… money.

the hosts

Host & main educator - Nicole Castonguay

I'm a lover of sunsets, meaningful conversations, and traveling to beautiful places. When I don't have a camera in my hand, you can find me having a glass of wine on my patio in the summer time.

I have been doing photography for five years, three years full time. I started my business from scratch and have learned so much about what to do and what not to do. From *trying* to perfect my workflow, editing, client relations, pricing, etc. I have so much I can't wait to share with you.

PSA I'm not claiming to have all the answers, but I do know what's worked best for me during this career. :)

Can't wait to meet you all!

Guest speaker - Shannon St. Clair

Shannon has been practicing photography for almost her whole life, while owning a full time business for over five years now.

She has an eye unlike any other. Her creativity shines through her photos in an unbelievable way. She will be sharing her journey as well as how she stays true to herself in her career.

Shannon feels most alive while getting lost in nature and can find the beauty in just about anything. She loves the little things, like the sunlight that shines through her new home in the morning.

She can't wait to spend the weekend with you!

Your weekend planner - Mariah Gerber

Mariah and I have known each other for about four years now! She currently lives in Hayward, WI and knows all of the amazing places to go. I travel up to Hayward and stay with her at least a few times a year. She is the one who found this amazing lodge!

Mariah is a lake lover and has a passion for entertaining and hosting friends and family. She will be the one planning all of the fun! She is here to make sure the timeline of our weekend runs smoothly, meals are prepared, and someone to go to if something goes wrong.

She can't wait to meet you all!
