Where do I start with these two? Sometimes you meet people and they immediately make you feel known— that’s Colton and Jess. They are the kindest souls and I am so thankful to have met them and to have shot their incredible wedding day.
To me, what was so remarkable about their wedding, was all of the unique settings surrounding their Stillwater venue. I began by shooting the ladies getting ready inside a one-of-a-kind Airbnb, complete with the coolest vintage couch and woodwork, and canoes hanging outside. It really was a Northerner’s dream.
Colton and Jess wanted the first time they saw each other to be down the isle - which was beautiful to witness. The ceremony fully reflected their relationship, faith, and values, as did their reception (complete with amazing vegan dishes within a beautiful, family-owned, cottage). When we had a free moment, Colton, Jess, and I snuck off to drive into the sunset (am I the most literal third-wheel in the world, or what?:) ) to find a field, and wow! we discovered the most perfect place. The images captured are some of my favorite of any wedding I’ve ever shot because these two were so willing to try out my silly suggestions and I worked to capture fun and unique angles (something I’m working on!).
I truly hope you enjoy these images, and can feel the pure love and joy that these two have for each other. To the Andersons: may your love forever shine bright!
