san diego -

I have been back to San Diego four times in the past two years. I just love it so much. This time I went with Jack for a long weekend and we explored some of my favorite areas. In my opinion, these are all a *must do* when visiting this city or for anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway.

Thursday

- got in around 8pm and made our way from the airport to Little Italy

For all your margarita pizza lovers - please make your way over to Monello. You will not be disappointed.

I would recommend grabbing some drinks at a wine bar or gelato if you're not too tired! Little Italy is my fav.

After stuffing our faces, we headed back to our Airbnb to catch up on sleep. We stayed a few blocks from Pacific Beach.

Friday

- Breakfast at Crushed

- Walked Pacific Beach

- Hike La Jolla

- Sunset Cliffs at dinner time

Friday morning we woke up and grabbed some breakfast and coffee at Crushed.

This place is in a super cute area on one of the main streets near Pacific Beach. Perfect brunch spot! There are tons of other options nearby.

I do have to say the eggs benny was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this spot!

After we ate and worked for a bit, we headed to Pacific Beach to take a walk and check out the pier.

The drive up to La Jolla is one of my favs! It has such gorgeous houses & the views are amazing. If you type in La Jolla Trail into your GPS it should take you to the trail location. It's in a super nice neighborhood, but you can just park on the side of the street. The trail is slightly hidden but there are usually a decent amount of people you will see coming to and from it. Definitely know you are going to get dirty & need to bring tennis shoes or hiking shoes.

This is the view from the start of the hike:

Here we go!

It gets pretty sketchy & slippery once you get into the rocky parts.

I had a panic attack and Jack had to come back for me (oops). I ended up having to sit on the side and take off my shoes to go barefoot down the rest of it. It helps your feet grip the wet sand that is on top of the rocks.

Once you finish the hike it will bring you out to the secluded beach below.

We decided to take the main road back up to the top haha. I didn't feel like risking my life on the back. After that, we went back to our Airbnb and relaxed for a bit before heading down to the sunset cliffs for dinner.

The sunset was gorgeous. You pick any spot on the cliffs to park up and watch it. One of my favorite moments from this trip.

We got drinks and apps at OB Surf Lodge which overlooks the cliffs/water. After that we headed down to Pacific Beach for some more drinks and dinner!

Saturday

- Breakfast @ The Henry in Coronado

- Walked around Coronado

- Coronado Beach

- Sailboat

The Henry is favorite breakfast and restaurant to date! Shoutout to my prior clients, Courtney, who recommended it!

I got the Wildflower coffee. One of two best coffees of my life - the other was Sunday Morning.

GET IT!

We got the cinnamon butter toast as an app and I got the Original Egg Sandwich and Janes Aperol Spritz for a drink for my meal & drink- AH.MAZING. Seriously can't recommend enough!

After we ate we explored the island a little and then headed to the beach!

We relaxed a bit and then had to head out and get ready for my favorite part of the trip... which was our sailboat ride! We booked through Gone Sailing Charters. I have booked through them twice now. Love captain Don! Tell him I sent you :) He will get you a beautiful sunset cruise or a day time one. I have done both!

It's BYOB + snacks!

Best time. Shirt linked at the bottom!

Sunday

- Zoo

- Superbowl celebrations!

The zoo was a 6/10 in our opinion, but we were still glad we did it! After that we celebrated the Super Bowl on Pacific Beach!

We definitely had our share of beer for the night.

ps. I picked the winning team.

Monday

- Breakfast at Morning Glory

- Airport :'(

Second best coffee of my life. I got an iced chai vanilla coffee. Jack got the french toast and I got their famous Khachapuri... basically an egg/cheese flatbread.

This was overall an amazing trip - I wish I could rewind time and do it all over again! Let me know if you end up going to any of these places!

xoxo
